Mr. Smith has represented more than 3,000 clients accused of DWI/DUI in the State of Maryland. Two of these cases included charges of homicide by motor vehicle. Mr. Smith has also represented clients charged with every crime imaginable, both in criminal adult court and juvenile court. Mr. Smith even successfully defended a client charged with manslaughter, when a police officer was killed during pursuit of the client.

Representative Clients:

Mr. Smith has represented clients from all walks of life, including a Federal Judge charged with DUI twice within a 12 hour span. Mr. Smith is particularly proud of the fact that when the son of the owner of the barbershop in Courthouse Square was charged with assault first-degree and assault second degree, he hired Pat Smith to defend him. This barbershop owner has literally hundreds of other lawyers who patronize his shop. Recently, when a Judge was facing allegations before the Judicial Disabilities Commission, he hired Pat Smith to defend him.

Mission Statement:

My mission is to get my clients the best possible result, without regard to how much time is involved. That is why I set a flat fee at our very first meeting, so you know exactly how much it is going to cost.
